The Knowledge Barrier
Many who have the ability to make a difference in the lives of waiting children do not take action because they are unaware of the need or feel helpless to do anything.
Show Hope helps break down the knowledge barrier in several ways.
First, our newly designed, thoughtfully updated, and easy-to-navigate HowToAdopt.org website offers help for your journey and hope for orphans. Whether you are beginning the adoption process or are interested in learning more about what is involved, HowToAdopt.org offers answers, insight, and guidance for the journey ahead.
Our work in Pre+Post Adoption Support provides practical teaching and resources to better equip parents, caregivers, and churches in their unique journeys to care well for children impacted by adoption or foster care. From the Hope for the Journey Conference to a library of helpful books and other resources, our goal is to guide parents and caregivers to a deeper understanding of their children’s needs.
Our current Student Initiative’s program, The Pause Campaign, is designed to educate students on the needs of waiting children and mobilize them to make an impact not just in the future—but today.
As our Co-founder Mary Beth Chapman often says, “Not everyone is called to adopt, but everyone is called to do something.” What will you do?
You can help us reduce the knowledge barrier and other barriers to adoption by getting involved today!
