After the 2023 Hope for the Journey Conference

One desire we have for the Hope for the Journey Conference is the beginning of new relationships and opportunities in your community. We do not want the support to end with the conference. The doors that open can vary greatly and may be different than what you had in mind. We encourage you to explore the opportunities that are presented to help better meet the specific needs of the families around you. 

Both Empowered to Connect (ETC) and the Karyn Purvis Institute for Child Development at TCU (KPICD) offer additional training opportunities for parents, caregivers, churches, and professionals. Please visit empoweredtoconnect.org to find a parent trainer near you or to learn more about becoming a parent trainer. Also, be sure to check out the new Cultivate Connection course ETC offers as a great next step after the conference. Another option is to begin meeting regularly with families who need to know they are not alone on their journeys. You can also consider hosting book discussions with families in your community. A list of recommended resources is available here. The “Created to Connect” study guide is ideal for group study.
