Meet the Myers Family

One of our favorite parts of Show Hope’s inaugural Hope for the Journey Conference was the variety of perspectives shared throughout each of the five learning modules.

In a segment known as “Practical Perspectives,” we heard from adult adoptees, foster care alumni, adoptive parents, and siblings of adopted children. The faces and voices featured in these “Practical Perspectives” video segments are ones we will soon not forget, and we’re thankful for the incredibly rich, tangible, and encouraging insight shared.

At the 2022 Hope for the Journey Conference, we’ll be introducing you to even more of these “Practical Perspectives,’ but in the meantime, we are excited to share a new family voice with you.

Meet the Myers family.

In part one of this two video series, listen as Bonnie and Justin Myers share how Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) strategies and Show Hope’s Hope for the Journey Conference have impacted their family and given them new tools and insight as they parent two children who came home through adoption.

In part two, listen as Bonnie and Justin discuss how Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is an integral part of how the Church can care well for children and families impacted by adoption and foster care.
