Before You Apply for a Show Hope Medical Care Grant

At Show Hope, we recognize that bringing your child home is not the end of your adoption journey. In fact, it is really just the beginning. In a desire to continue journeying well with families, Show Hope’s Medical Care grants help reduce both financial and medical barriers to adoption. Ranging from $7,000-$10,000, these grants can be utilized for procedures, surgeries, devices, and approved mental health care, among many others.
Before you apply, check out these tips below for a smooth application process.
- Review the list of eligible and ineligible expenses for a Show Hope Medical Care grant. Common questions include cosmetic, preventative, or orthodontic dentistry (ineligible), travel expenses for medical care (eligible on a case-by-case basis), and mental health services (eligible from an approved list of providers.)
- Review Show Hope’s Statement of Faith.
- Collect required information, including tax and net worth information, pay stubs, medical insurance information, and monthly claims statement.
- Have your medical provider’s and pastor’s contact information ready. Consider letting them know that a reference form will be coming from Show Hope.
- Please note Show Hope Medical Care grant applications are reviewed monthly.
Bringing your child home is just the beginning—and you don’t have to navigate what’s next alone. Show Hope is here for your family’s entire journey. Learn more about our Medical Care grants at showhope.org/medicalcare.
