Meet the Roe Family

Every April, the entire Show Hope team, alongside our Founders, Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, works to raise money for our cornerstone work, Adoption Aid grants. To date, nearly 10,000 children have been impacted by a Show Hope Adoption Aid, and while that is certainly much to celebrate, there is still work to be done. Between now and April 30, we are working toward a $450,000 fundraising goal through our 20/20 Campaign for Adoption Aid—with our ultimate goal of coming alongside 45 children and families, much like the Roe family.
We discussed the idea of a second adoption together as a couple many times, and after much prayer, research, contemplation, we began to weigh the idea more seriously. However, upon volunteering at a Steven Curtis Chapman concert, we felt the call to adopt again in a much stronger way. We have had to completely trust in God’s timeline and providence during this adventure. It has required patient waiting, knowing that it will happen when it’s supposed to. We have had to trust in God’s gifts because we would not be able to afford this adoption on our own.
Our agency recommended [a Show Hope Adoption Aid grant] for our first adoption, and we were awarded a grant when we brought home our first child. We reached out for assistance again for this adoption after getting to know the organization better. Simply put, we would not have been able to do either adoption without this grant. This organization changes lives forever and is such a powerful force for good in the world.
This month, will you prayerfully consider a financial gift to Show Hope’s 20/20 Campaign for Adoption Aid? Families, like the Roes, have stepped out in faith to care well for and welcome home a child through adoption, and together, let’s step out in faith with an investment in their lives. in faith to care well for and welcome home a child through adoption, and together, let’s step out in faith with an investment in their lives.
