The Medical Barrier to Adoption

Many children who have been orphaned live with medical needs, with limited access to adequate healthcare. And once home, rising medical costs and access to treatment can be overwhelming for families.

With a desire to address the medical needs of children who had been orphaned, we took a step back to listen, dream, and hope. What if we could further journey with children and families, once adoption has been finalized, by offering Medical Care grants to help offset healthcare expenses?

Since the fall of 2020, Show Hope has offered Medical Care grants to financially assist families with medical expenses for their children welcomed home through adoption, whether it’s a pre-existing condition or a need that just recently developed.
