Still … Speechless

Dear friends, 

As we move into summertime and wind down another fiscal year (which ends June 30), can I just say, There is so much to celebrate in the life of Show Hope!!!? Mary Beth and Steven wrote about approaching the milestone of impacting 10,000 children with a Show Hope Adoption Aid grant—but let’s be honest, it’s worth repeating! We are so close to that “Speechless” moment, and I cannot wait. 

Another speechless moment coming soon: The launch of Esperanza para el Viaje, Show Hope’s Spanish edition of Hope for the Journey. Our team has been working hard to bring you this much-anticipated resource, available this fall. The seed for this was really planted in November 2024, so to watch it grow over the past 18 months has been such a joy! 

Lastly, if you have been around since I had the privilege of stepping into the Executive Director role, you know Show Hope Medical Care grants hold a special place in my heart. And this fiscal year, I am so excited to share we have experienced a 40% growth in Medical Care grant applications and awards over last year! By June 30, we will have awarded, at least, 100 grants, supporting the medical journeys of children and families. Not only are we supporting these families, we are literally helping to improve the overall quality of life for children and teens who have joined their families through adoption. It’s an honor and a gift that I will always hold near. 

And to you, friends, you leave me speechless. Just when I think it could not get better, you surprise us with a gift, a personal story, or even a word of encouragement. Because of you, children and teens are coming to know their value in the eyes of the Father, they are being met with life-changing care and support, and they are experiencing the love, security, and permanency of a family. I’ll never stop saying, This work is not possible without you.
