“Practical Perspectives” with Joshua Christian Oswald — Hope for the Journey Conference
With this spring’s Hope for the Journey Conference, we welcomed a variety of perspectives from professionals and practitioners to families and adults impacted by adoption and/or foster care. These faces and voices are ones we will soon not forget and are thankful for the incredibly rich, practical, and encouraging insight shared. One such voice was that of adult adoptee, Joshua Christian Oswald. He is an alumnus of the child welfare system and a dedicated advocate for youth impacted by foster care as well as child welfare reform at the local, state, and national levels. We invite you to check out his story below!
We hope you’ll join us for next year’s Hope for the Journey Conference, premiering on Friday, April 8, 2022 with a rebroadcast period through May 31.
As the conference seeks to encourage and better equip parents and caregivers meeting the everyday needs of children impacted by adoption and/or foster care, it remains low-cost, high-impact as Show Hope also works to resource churches, agencies, and other organizations as they support and equip the families, caregivers, and the communities they serve. With the busy parent and caregiver in mind, the Hope for the Journey Conference is accessible to this audience with information being practical, succinct, and consumable in its delivery. We will continue to build on Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) principles as we welcome new faces, new stories, and new insight.
