Dear Friends,

To those of you walking the winding, holy road of adoption, we want you to know how profoundly honored we are to walk with you. 

I (Mary Beth) have often said, “Adoption is gloriously hard.” It is ordained by God and both mysterious yet beautiful at the same time. 

We know this because we have lived it—the questions and uncertainties … the joys and the laughter … the grief and the sadness … the miracles and the moments that stretch your heart far beyond what you ever imagined it could hold. 

The paperwork can feel neverending, and the waiting can be almost unbearable. And yes, there will be days when the love itself feels too costly. In those moments, we hope you remember this: Love is not proven by ease but by faithfulness.

Adoption is one of the most tangible pictures of God’s amazing grace, love, and redemption … choosing, claiming, and loving a child not because of biology but because of belonging. 

Remember to give yourselves grace. You don’t have to be perfect parents to be the right parents. What your child needs most is not flawlessness but presence. Not answers to every question … instead, a safe place to land. And as you provide that, may your child find hope and healing, and may your own heart find healing in ways you never anticipated.

Thank you for saying yes … to a child and a calling and to a story that only God could have written for you and your family. You’re not alone. We’re here … with a host of God’s people … cheering you on, praying for you, and trusting that He who called you is faithful and He will surely do it.
