Speechless: A Letter From Our Founders

Mary Beth Chapman and Steven Curtis Chapman

Dear Friends,

More than 9,500 children have been impacted by a Show Hope Adoption Aid grant. That is more than one child per day since we founded Show Hope in 2003. And if that wasn’t enough to leave you speechless, in one year from now, 10,000 children will have been impacted by an Adoption Aid grant. Again, speechless.

Yet that’s what God does. He leaves us speechless with His love … His blessings of grace and mercy … His goodness and kindness … by His faithfulness. For nearly 23 years now, God’s face has shone on the work of Show Hope—even on the darkest of days, He was there. We saw Him this summer as we gathered with children—from across the country—who were once loved and cared for at a Show Hope Care Center in China. He is in the stories of families impacted by Adoption Aid and Medical Care grants and students who dive into Show Hope’s Pause Campaign. Again, speechless.

If you know us even in the slightest, you know that we are rarely left speechless. Yet God knows how to lead us there … to still us and quiet us, in awe and admiration. He’s even used you in that. Your faithful prayers, support, and generosity—some of you from day one of Show Hope—are truly indescribable. All we can simply muster is, “Thank you.”

So we leave you with this: May God’s love for you be revealed in fresh, new ways, leaving you speechless … in the still and in the quiet … in awe and admiration.

Again, speechless,

Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman
