REAL STORIES OF HOPE

This Medical Care grant means the world to our family. It’s more than just financial help—it’s a reminder that we’re not alone in this journey. For our daughter, it represents hope, healing, and the opportunity to thrive, and that makes a tangible difference in her daily life.

Receiving the Medical Care grant brought us so much peace of mind. It’s allowing us to provide Miguel with life-changing medical equipment and access to therapies that would’ve otherwise been out of reach.

- The Cavicchi Family

The Show Hope Medical Care grant means everything to us. It meant that our daughter got the batteries she needed for her cochlear implants. It also meant that we were able to pay for over $3,000 that we accrued in her therapy bills, so she can access language to her fullest potential.

The Show Hope Medical Care grant means our daughter is able to get a service that she needs to help her grow and be successful academically that we wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. But in the big picture, we are filled with gratitude at how Show Hope cares for the whole family. By supporting the medical needs of our daughter, we are able to have less financial stress and focus on other things that help to strengthen and grow our family. It may sound cheesy, but it's true! We would do anything for our kids to make sure they have what they need, it's been a blessing to have medical care relief so that we can meet other needs. The financial support of the medical care grants gives the family an avenue of support that powers us through, gives us the little extra push of wrap-around support to keep meeting the needs of our child.

As a family in ministry, we truly were not sure where the finances would come from to pay for all of our medical bills that accumulated so quickly. It has been such a blessing to receive this [Medical Care] grant, knowing that we can now pay for everything we need to. We spend so much money toward the adoption process and feel a big financial weight lifted when we are home with our little one, but often, the expenses don’t end with the long-awaited homecoming. … So [we] truly appreciate an organization like Show Hope that recognizes that care and financial assistance continues to be needed once home.

The Medical Care grants, I think, are an answer to walking out the gospel and adoption with families—because it just doesn’t end when children come home. There’s so much and especially when you have a child who is medically fragile. So families absolutely need to take advantage of this. And just take it as an extension of the church body and just this huge family that wants to walk alongside them.
