‘Twas the Night Before Giving Tuesday

‘Twas the night before Giving Tuesday when all through the land,

Nonprofits were stirring with all they had planned.

Of course, the Show Hope team was no exception, 

Giving Tuesday has been on our radar since its inception.   

With Mary Beth in her sweatshirt and I in my cap, 

We had settled in for a Monday night wrap. 

When what to my listening ear did I hear, 

Why it was generous Show Hope donors full of good cheer. 

They were matching all gifts—yes, that’s what they did say— 

Up to $50,000—all gifts on Giving Tuesday.

Mary Beth got to texting and Instagramming galore, 

Proclaiming we could raise $100,000—or more! 

The Show Hope team joined in, spreading the news, 

When it comes to children and families, we’ve got nothing to lose!

As with days gone by, we’d love for you to join us. 

Together, we can be a glorious chorus!

For 20 years and counting, we’ve walked side by side, 

And we couldn’t be more grateful you’re along for the ride. 

So as God continues to write the Show Hope story, 

Our prayer is that He gets all the glory!
