Meet Daniel. He is 3 years old and has captured our hearts with his joy. Daniel is resilient and sweet and has an incredible smile.
He loves to watch cartoons. He bounces up and down when the music comes on, and if someone unwittingly stands in front of the television, he’ll try to peek around them. Daniel enjoys listening to music, and when you dance with him, he gets excited and smiles while bouncing to the beat. The sensory boards in preschool and the playroom are also a huge hit. Daniel enjoys the fidget spinners most and has the biggest smile on his face when he watches them spin. It’s incredible to see the wonder in Daniel’s eyes as he discovers the movement, sound, and color of new toys.
In physical therapy, Daniel works hard at standing and moving around the room. If he’s not crawling at high speed, he’s cruising in his walker. We are proud of how much he has accomplished. Daniel was born with an inherited condition called maple syrup urine disease. We have seen his tenacity and joy outshine barriers, and we are amazed by his strength and bravery.
Like so many children who wait, Daniel’s greatest need is the love and security of a family through adoption. We ask you to join us in prayer and carry the hope that this need will be met for each of these precious children.
