December Prayer Focus: Rafiya

We’re excited for you to meet Rafiya! She’s almost 2 years old and lives at Maria’s Big House of Hope. She is cuddly and sweet, and loves her nannies. Rafiya came under our care when she was 7 months old, and she has blossomed so much since that time.

Rafiya’s nannies dote over her quiet and precious personality, and she is full of smiles for them. She loves to play with toys, especially anything that makes noise. She’s very shy, but still likes to blow kisses to her friends. Rafiya also really likes music. Whenever music is playing, her nannies encourage her to dance along as she makes noises with the music.

Rafiya was born with a condition that affects her bones, so she’s not yet able to walk. She receives physical therapy on most days. She recently received a ZipZac chair, and she is getting used to her new set of wheels. Though she can move around in it some, her favorite thing is to be pushed or pulled around. We love Rafiya, and are so proud of how she has already overcome so much in her life. We have such great hope for her!
