Answering the Call—Together Again

Dear Show Hope Family,
Here we are … in the midst of Show Hope’s 22nd year! It’s mind-blowing in a lot of ways, as it does seem like yesterday when we were dreaming of helping 100 children come home to the love and permanency of a family through the miracle of adoption. And yet, today, that dream of 100 children looks like more than 9,300 children impacted by Show Hope’s Adoption Aid grants! Before we know it, 9,300 children will be 10,000 children—and what a celebration that will be!
So many of you have been with us since those early days in 2003, and we could never express our gratitude for your love for children, families, and Show Hope as a whole. And for those of you newer to the Show Hope family, we are incredibly humbled that you have chosen to sacrificially join us through your prayers and generosity—thank you.
Show Hope’s Adoption Aid grants work is enough to celebrate on its own, but as Adoption Aid grants grow, so do Show Hope’s Medical Care grants. In fact, more than 60 percent of our Medical Care grants families also received an Adoption Aid grant. To date, Show Hope has had the privilege of awarding more than 200 Medical Care grants, totaling more than $1.5 million! Those numbers represent children, like Matthew Deer, whose family shared their story with us in our new Summer Newsletter arriving in homes now!
As we look forward to the summer months and beyond, we are excited to SEE children and families this July at our first in-person Care Centers Legacy Reunion since 2019! These amazing kids/now young adults will always hold a special place in our hearts and in the story of Show Hope. We also can’t wait to SEE how the new Hope for the Journey online learning platform impacts even more families, church leaders, and professionals here in the U.S. and around the globe. And last but not least, Show Hope’s Student Initiatives team continues to engage student leaders within classrooms, on campuses, and in churches around the country … churches like St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oviedo, Florida. You can learn more about this youth ministry and their pastor, Reverend Sam Shick, on the pages of the Summer Newsletter too.
In closing, we want to thank you for journeying with us through the work of Show Hope—all that has been and is being accomplished is because you chose to answer God’s call to care for “the least of these.” And together, as we step into summer, let’s raise our voices to our Father, and say, Do It Again!
With admiration and appreciation,

Mary Beth & Steven Curtis Chapman
