A Haven of Hope
Our story began with hope. Our Founders, Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, desired to see children enter the love of a family through adoption. Show Hope Adoption Aid grants grew and so did our understanding.
You see, the adoption journey does not end the day a child is welcomed home. In many ways, it is just beginning. We sensed a calling to care for the unique medical and physical needs of waiting children and knew something had to be done.
We also began to better understand the deep, sometimes hidden needs of children, particularly those impacted by trauma and loss. We saw the need for support and education, training and equipping to care for the whole child, and we knew something had to be done.
Before long, that hope had become a journey … walking with children and holding their hands … with their families … their churches, their schools … entire communities and cultures.
Today, that hope has stretched and strengthened, becoming a haven of care—that only God could design—beginning with children who are waiting and continuing with children who are now home as they learn to thrive and flourish.
With 20 years behind us and the future ahead, we move forward, like days past, with hope … with arms open … knowing that God goes before us and will always be with us. And we would love for you to come with us too.
