30 Bible Verses Every Kid Should Know
Reading the Bible together can not only be a sweet, memorable time for your family; it can also be an integral practice of discipleship for both your children and you as you discuss and memorize God’s word and promises. The following is a list of 30 Bible verses every kid should know as a guide that can be helpful as you begin memorizing scripture with your children.
1. James 1:27 – “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
2. Psalm 145:9 – “The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.”
3. Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Children are precious to God, and their care is essential to him. Today, there are millions of children in the world who have been orphaned. This is a global issue. It crosses international borders, racial divides, and economic classes. It impacts children from every walk of life.
While the needs of orphans are both varying and complex, there are three key issues Show Hope seeks to address:
The Financial Barrier: The average cost of adoption can range between $25,000 and $50,000. That is outside the financial reach of most families.
The Medical Barrier: Many children who have been orphaned live with mild to acute healthcare needs, requiring access to medical and therapeutic intervention.
The Knowledge Barrier: Many who have the ability to make a difference in the lives of waiting children do not take action because they are unaware of the need or feel helpless to do anything.
Show Hope exists to care for orphans by engaging the Church and reducing barriers to adoption.
