Show Hope | Our Core Values

SCRIPTURE Remaining rooted in truth 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” The work of Show Hope is founded upon, rooted in, and fueled by the truth of Scripture—the written account of God’s revelation of himself to humanity as recorded in the Bible. The Bible is the basis for all of our essential beliefs. By practicing fidelity to Scripture, as expressed for organizational purposes in Show Hope’s Statement of Faith, we are committed to honoring God and making him known in and through our work.

EXCELLENCE Serving with excellence Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” The work of Show Hope is marked by excellence in all things. Our motivation for excellence is fueled by our passion to serve the Lord wholeheartedly. Excellence in our work is exemplified in maintaining the highest standards in all that we say and do, creating trustworthy resources, and committing ourselves to continual learning and growth.

HOPE Giving hope for the journey Matthew 10:42 “And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. At Show Hope, we recognize that the adoption journey does not end the day a child is welcomed home … in many ways, it is just beginning. Caring well for the children and families impacted by Show Hope means finding ways for our work and support to go deeper, not wider. For a journey that spans the valley of loss to the mountaintops of love and belonging, it is our desire to be a steady companion offering hope, kindness, and encouragement.

INTEGRITY Maintaining integrity Isaiah 30:21 “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” Show Hope conducts its work with integrity. We are committed to ethical business practices, treating employees fairly, and acting in good faith. Through prayer, we seek discernment and are attentive to God’s guidance, moving our work forward with authenticity, honesty, and missional alignment.

DIGNITY Honoring the inherent dignity of every individual Psalm 139:13-14 “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Show Hope honors the inherent, God-given dignity of every human being as an image bearer of the Divine. As set forth in Scripture, words have the power to bring life and death and therefore matter profoundly. Compassion and respect are the hallmark of both internal and external communications, informing our storytelling and remaining mindful of how it impacts those we serve.

STEWARDSHIP Ensuring proper stewardship 1 Chronicles 29:12 “Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.” Show Hope is committed to being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us. We are transparent in our use of funds, ensuring the intended purposes of gifts and contributions. In addition, we seek collaboration with trusted partners to maximize our time, resources, and impact within the broader advocacy community.
