Meet Sierra

Pictures and words don’t do Sierra justice. She is an immensely happy, loving, and kind little girl. She is active and playful, but stops often for hugs!

Recent Updates

We’re celebrating because Sierra recently joined her family through adoption! Sierra has so much spunk and joy, and we are so proud of her. Whenever Sierra comes to mind, please join us in praying for her and her family during these first months together, that their time would be full of peace, joy, and deep connection.

When Sierra is having fun, it’s contagious. Everyone around her has fun too! Sierra is a happy little girl, and she loves to play catch. She claps excitedly the whole time.

Sierra loves to jump and laugh and play. She is full of joy, and giggles when she gets lots of kisses. Please join us in praying that Sierra will come to know the love and permanency of a family soon.

Sierra is full of joy. She is dearly loved by the staff, and we’re so grateful for the privilege of caring for her.

It’s been a fun fall for Sierra. We celebrated the season with a festival where the children dressed up in costumes, listened to fun music, made a cute pumpkin craft, and got to collect treats like candy, stickers, and bubbles from different caregivers around the room. The children loved it, and Sierra was radiant dressed as a princess! She wore a fluffy pink dress and had a wonderful time!

We mentioned recently that Sierra just started walking on her own, and she is no less proud of herself now than she was a few months ago! She giggles and prances around as she walks and plays, and it’s adorable.
Fall in Luoyang has brought cooler weather, and the children are spending more and more time outside. Sierra enjoys it very much. She gets excited when we blow bubbles, but she’s still not sure how she feels about grass!

Recently Sierra started walking all on her own, and we love to watch her zip around. She’s very proud of herself, as are we! She gets excited and steps from foot to foot really quickly and boasts the biggest smile. She has no fear! Although she just started walking on her own, Sierra runs almost everywhere and keeps up with the older kids so well.

Sierra recently started preschool, and we’re so excited for her to learn even more. Her teacher is pleased with how well she is transitioning. She enjoys doing crafts, and she especially loves music and playing with the instruments!
