John was admitted to Maria’s Big House of Hope on the day he was born. He was diagnosed with gastrointestinal malformations and has since undergone multiple surgeries. We have loved watching him grow into the sweet and spunky four-year-old that he is! Pre-school has become one of John’s favorite activities. He knows when it’s time for school and will find his shoes, put them on by himself, and wait for his nannies to take him. Once he gets to the classroom, he waits expectantly and excitedly in the hallway for his teacher to arrive.
When he is not in school, you can often find John outside, running around and playing with the other children. He loves to be very active! When he is in his room, he enjoys watching cartoons and playing with visitors. He has become good buddies with the nurses who care for him. From watching the nurses work, he has learned how to use a stethoscope and he likes to listen to the other children’s hearts. John has become a vibrant personality in his room and is cherished by all who meet him!
