Yesterday marked the first day of CHD (Congenital Heart Disease) Awareness Week. Each year on February 7-14, we strive to raise awareness about CHD through education and advocacy. Nearly one out of 100 babies is born with CHD and it is one of the most common health conditions that the children in our Care Centers face. We will not leave these children without hope! Throughout the upcoming week, we will shine the spotlight on the needs of children who are born with CHD.
Kingston is a darling boy who was admitted to Maria’s Big House of Hope (MBHOH) when he was seven weeks old. He was diagnosed with CHD and a gastrointestinal malformation. Thanks to Show Hope sponsors and donors, he has been able to receive life-saving surgeries to help correct both conditions!
Under the supervision of the medical staff at MBHOH, Kingston has grown into a joyful ten-month-old little boy. He is the first to greet visitors with his sweet spirit and adorable smile! He giggles contagiously when he’s tickled or when his nanny makes a funny face.
Kingston loves to watch the older boys in his room play and laugh with each other. He also is quite the cuddle bug and is content to snuggle up in the lap of his nanny. Please join us in praying that the Lord would lead Kingston to a family who will provide the unconditional love and care that he needs!
