In 2014, the Kopers brought their son and daughter home from Haiti with the help of a Show Hope grant! Below, they share about God’s perfect timing and His provision throughout the journey.
My wife and I prayed about adding to our family through adoption for at least 2-3 years before we finally trusted the Lord to guide us through the process. In the spring of 2012, we started our journey. Two years later, in May 2014, we brought our son and daughter home from Haiti!
The adoption journey was joyous, long, emotional, and overwhelming at times. Now that we have our children home, we are learning to adjust as a family of seven and grow in our love for each other. The most momentous part of the journey was witnessing God’s perfect timing and provision.
In addition to the joy we’ve experienced as a new family of seven, we’ve also experienced a number of challenges. We’ve helped to overcome these challenges through networking with other adoptive parents in the area, attending adoption help groups, and participating in one-on-one counseling.*
We would like to thank Show Hope and all of the donors who helped bring our son and daughter home! God has worked through Show Hope to assist families who couldn’t afford the adoption process on their own, just like ours. The timing of when we received the grant from Show Hope and the amount of money we received was an answer to our prayers. I hope each donor feels truly blessed by this fact. The Koper Family thanks Show Hope and all of their sponsors and donors! God is good and faithful.
