Our sweet Harrison was just 2 weeks old when he was admitted to our Zhengzhou Care Center this past February. He was born with a cleft lip and palate and we thank God that we’re able to send him to excellent surgeons right here in China!
Harrison is 6 months old now. Like many 6-month-olds, he is babbling, smiling, and rolling over! He loves to watch all the activity in his nursery, but his favorite place to be is in the arms of his nanny. He loves when she snuggles him close and talks to him. Harrison’s eyes light up when she is nearby and he always gives her a big smile every time he sees her!
Please keep Harrison in your prayers as he is waiting for his cleft lip surgery. In order for Harrison to be ready for surgery, he needs to be strong and healthy. At the moment, Harrison needs a feeding tube to help make sure he’s getting enough nutrients. Please pray that he will continue to grow into a happy and healthy little boy! Pray also that this sweet baby will soon know the love of a forever family.
+Lord over all, we pray that you will use the Empowered to Connect conference in Washington, D.C. on September 12-13 to bring deep hope and healing to children from hard places.
+Father, anoint all who are planning to attend the Show Hope Fundraising Banquet on November 8th. Use this night to lead more people to care for orphans.
+Father to the fatherless, raise up greater numbers of Show Hope sponsors so that more waiting children can know the love and protection of a family through adoption.
+Anoint those involved in orphan care. We pray for your hand to be at work in the hearts of all who are beginning to apply for Show Hope’s 2015 trips. Grant wisdom and clarity in your calling.
+Father of all mercy, provide rest and faith to waiting children. Work deep and abiding hope into their hearts and teach us all in ever-greater ways that your hand can be trusted even when it is difficult to see.
