John was admitted to our Xinyang Special Care Center as an infant. When John first arrived, he was quickly transferred to Maria’s Big House of Hope for further evaluation. About a year later, John was able to receive life-giving surgical care from an amazing team called MedArt. These past three years, we have been privileged to provide much-needed medical care for his gastrointestinal malformation. We are so thankful for the care available to John and so many other precious children like him!
If John could be described in just a few words it would be “full of life!” His joyful enthusiasm is an inspiration to everyone who crosses his path. During the day, he is busy learning new things and making new friends at preschool. Back in his nursery, he loves to run around and play with the other children.
Although we have had the gift of celebrating John’s first three birthdays, our prayer is that he will soon be given the opportunity to celebrate his birthdays with a forever family of his own. Please pray that he will continue to respond well to the medical treatment he receives and will keep growing into a healthy young boy.
+Lord, we pray that you would use Christian Alliance for Orphans’ Summit on May 1-2 in Chicago to prepare and equip new leaders in the movement to care for orphans.
+Father, guide the Red Bus Project team as they near the end of the spring college tour. Use this tool to inspire and mobilize college students to speak up for the fatherless.
+Lord over all, raise up greater numbers of Show Hope sponsors so that more waiting children will know the love and hope of a forever family.
+We pray for the Guys Construction Team as they travel to Maria’s Big House of Hope May 9-18 and the Sponsor Vision Team as they travel May 30-June 8. Grant them safety in travel and unity in spirit.
+Father of all mercy, make us faithful stewards of the gifts you have given us. Grant us hearts that joyfully give of time, talents, and funds to follow your call to care for orphans.
