Get Your Promo Kits for Orphan Sunday!

Orphan Sunday: November 3rd

NOTE: Orphan Sunday kits are no longer available. We encourage you to take part in the “Brown Bag for Hope” campaign and invite your peers to join you. Please visit advocacy events for more advocacy ideas.

As we approach Orphan Sunday on November 3rd, Show Hope is gearing up for this day of advocacy and praying that it brings hope and healing to waiting children around the world. This year, we are asking you to get involved by ordering our special Orphan Sunday promotional kits and using them to engage your church, friends, and family to become a part of the movement to care for orphans. If we all do our small part, we can restore the hope of a family to orphans in distress. Working together, we can transform the lives of waiting children.

Included in the kits are packages of customized brown paper bags. As part of our “Brown Bag for Hope” initiative, we are asking everyone to refrain from dining out just once a week and “brown bag it” instead. The typical worker spends $12.24 each time they go out for lunch. The average brown bag lunch costs just $2.35. By joining Show Hope and brown bagging it every Thursday, you can save $9.89 per week! With the extra $35/month saved, you can bring hope and healing to orphans by becoming a sponsor. Please gift these “Brown Bags for Hope” to your peers as you encourage them to brown bag it and become sponsors.

Brown Bag for HopeOur hope is that these kits will help you raise your voice for the fatherless on November 3rd. In the past, we have seen groups set up tables at their churches and distribute our informational brochures and pamphlets. We urge you to get creative! Please use these kits to tell everyone you know about the importance of becoming a sponsor and restoring the hope of a family to waiting children. Afterward, we would love to hear how you celebrated! Please remember to share your Orphan Sunday stories and photos with us. Thank you in advance for answering God’s command found in James 1:27: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.”
