MAY 5th UPDATE: The show will go on! Due to recent flooding at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, “Cinderella: Enchanted Edition” will now be presented at Allen Arena at Lipscomb University. All previous ticket purchases will be honored, and additional $30 tickets are available by calling the Allen Arena Box Office at 615-966-7075. Click here for more details.

328-logo-for-webA star-studded cast is teaming up with the Nashville Symphony to present Cinderella: The Enchancted Edition to help Show Hope raise awareness and funds to care for orphans in distress. It will be a “one night only” concert performance without scenery but with colorful costumes, a flourish  of makeup, a bit of dancing, and a good measure of magic.

Cinderella has the same title as Steven Curtis Chapman’s hit song inspired by his daughter, Maria, who passed away in May of 2008. The Chapmans saw this as the perfect way to commemorate her life and celebrate the mission of Show Hope.

This concert is a WONDERFUL idea! You should put it on a DVD for those of us who are too far away to attend. I’ll buy one! =o)

  • Awesome. This song usually draws tears. We would love to attend or volunteer, but Florida is so far away from Nashville. Will pray for this event and cause.

Can’t wait! Just got a third row ticket! 🙂

We lost our son only one month after the Chapman’s lost Maria, so this event has extra meaning to me. Happy to support such a worthy cause commemorating Maria’s life.

We will be posting a new blog with updates soon. The show will go on, and will now be at the Allen Arena at Lipscomb University (same date, time and talent)! While we are very sad that the Schermerhorn has sustained so much damaged, this change in venue will allow many more people to attend and learn more about orphans around the world! All previous tickets will be honored. Watch for more details over the next few days.
