WHY CARE CENTERS?
Without parents to provide and advocate for them, far too many waiting children do not receive the medical care they desperately need. Because an orphanage may care for hundreds of children, they often do not have the resources or expertise to provide for children who require specialized medical attention.
Show Hope has been given the unique position to extend the highest quality of care to orphans with special needs in the Henan province of China. Maria’s Big House of Hope (MBHOH), located in Luoyang, is Show Hope’s flagship Special Care Center. It serves as the hub through which Show Hope provides a loving family atmosphere and comprehensive medical care, including physician oversight and surgeries.
A thriving relationship with the local and provincial government, as well as our deep partnership with the New Hope Foundation, has given Show Hope the ability to expand the work to single-floor Special Care Centers in the state-run orphanages in Zhengzhou, Jiaozuo, and Xinyang.Through these centers, this love is manifested by physical and tangible means in a way that speaks profoundly to the children, staff and surrounding community.
